Apply2Study was a contract project for an international organization that helps students secure admission into universities abroad. Their team acts as the bridge between students and institutions, so the goal was to build a platform that simplifies the entire journey on their end — from program discovery to application submission, document handling, and internal review.
My role was to transform their manual, fragmented process into a clean, scalable digital system. I was tasked with the development of a full-stack platform where students can explore universities and programs worldwide, follow step-by-step application workflows, upload required documents, and track their admission progress - via a student's portal or dashboard.
On the organization’s side, I created tools that allow their team to review applications, verify documents, manage student applications, communicate with applicants, and prepare submissions before forwarding them to the appropriate institutions. Beyond this, I developed a custom, highly scalable admin panel that empowers the organization to manage all website content with ease. From blogs, articles, events, and programs to ApplyInsights, schools, countries, and school-category management, the system is designed to keep the website fully dynamic — drastically reducing the need for frequent updates or technical maintenance.
One of the biggest challenges was building a user experience that feels simple for students while handling the complex admission requirements behind the scenes. I focused on structured workflows, intuitive forms, smart validations, and performance to ensure the platform works smoothly across regions all over the world.
I was also responsible for the live deployment of the platform on a Virtual Private Server (VPS), including full server setup, environment configuration, and process management. This included SSL certificate configuration, domain and subdomain routing, reverse proxy setup, and overall infrastructure optimization to ensure reliability, security, and high availability - at all times.
This project allowed me to combine product thinking with technical execution, delivering a system that empowers the organization to operate more efficiently while giving students a clearer, stress-free path toward studying abroad.
